What is Hannah’s Home?
Hannah’s Home is a maternity home for single pregnant young women ages 18 and over. It exists to provide a safe and nurturing environment that supports emotional, physical, psychological and spiritual growth:
- To share, teach and model a growing, personal relationship with Christ
- To demonstrate Christ’s love to pregnant and unwed young women
- To encourage life and educate young women so they can make an informed decision between adoption and parenting
- To provide practical training for life skills, Biblical parenting skills, nutrition, vocational and home life opportunities
- To equip young women to become godly women in their families and communities through counseling and discipleship and the study of God’s Word (taken from hannahshome.org/about)
Hannah’s Home does not receive any government funding and, as such, relies solely on private donations to keep its doors open to women who need a safe place to live during their pregnancies and afterwards. They not only offer a safe and nurturing environment for both mother and child that helps provide residents with strength and encouragement, but they also help women set goals, learn life skills, continue an education, pursue employment, prepare for childbirth, and plan for the future.
